The posted values of equivalent sound pressure levels cannot be compared with the limits stated in Section 11, Chapter 6 of the Government Regulation Nr. 148/2006, of the Code, on protection of health from the adverse effects of noise and vibration.
Day and night time health limits in the equivalent level of sound pressure, category A, generated by aviation refer to a typical air date defined by the Methodological guide for measuring and evaluating the noise from air traffic issued by the Czech Republic’s Chief Public Health Officer, Ref. Nr.: OVZ-32.0-19.02.2007/6306. A typical air date is considered an average operational day at a particular airport based on six months results obtained during the summer timetable (May to October).
Final values of equivalent sound pressure levels for day and night times for a particular year are published in November of that year. Between May and October, partial, cumulative values of equivalent levels calculated from the monthly additions to the final values are released.
