Plan Your Airport Journey in Advance.

Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, is a modern city surrounded by desert, full of contrasts and beautiful architecture. You might like to start your visit in one of the oldest quarters of Al-Bathaa, where you can find the Masmak fortress with its four watchtowers, the original castle gate, huge courtyard, and beautifully painted interiors. Other monuments to be admired include the Murabba Palace and the Al-Dirah district with the Al-Mu’eiqilia Market, the Royal Palace Commercial Building, and the Great Mosque. To learn details about the city and Arab history in general, visit the National Museum.

If you like shopping and the traditional atmosphere of open-air markets, visit one of the largest on the Arabian Peninsula, Souq Al Jamal. There are also two famous skyscrapers in the city. The first is Burj Al-Mamlakah, also referred to as the Kingdom Tower, which is 302 metres tall; the second, Burj Al-Faisaliah, has a luxury restaurant on the observation deck, which offers a beautiful view of the city.

Don’t miss local parks either, namely Wadi Namar, Addiriyah Park, and King Abdullah Park, and try Riyadh cuisine. Traditional dishes include Shavarma, Khúzí stuffed lamb, Kabsa rice with chicken, and Falafel.
