Bordeaux, an important French port city and one of the most famous wine regions in the world. The symbol of the city is the Place de la Bourse, a large square which was the centre of mercantile and urban life. Other important sights comprise the cathedral of St. Andrew, the Pey Berland tower, the Grosse Cloche bell tower (one of the oldest bell towers in France), the Rohan Palace, and the Grotte de Pair-non-Pair cave with animal figures carved into its wall. The Aquitaine bridge, a unique architectural gem in France, is also a tourist attraction.

What would this city visit be without tasting some wine and visiting some of the wineries. Take advantage of guided wine tours or stop in the original Cité du Vin (City of Wine) building, where you can learn almost everything about wine. Also make sure and try some local specialties. Bordeaux is renowned for its various preparations of fish and seafood, as well as ducks, geese, and pigeons.
