Road undergoing reconstruction by Terminal 1. What traffic restrictions shall be expected?

The repairs are scheduled over several stages and will require temporary traffic restrictions in the immediate vicinity of the airport terminal buildings.

Stage 1 (3 March – 31 March 2025)

Changes for drivers:

• The left entry barrier on the 1st road will be closed; traffic will be directed through the right entry barrier, which will remain fully operational.
• The 2nd road in front of the terminal building will be closed. The work will be organised in a way to ensure the third and fourth pedestrian crossings in the first half of the road remain fully operational.
• At the P1 parking area, the right entry barrier will be closed.
• At the P1 parking area, the left and middle exit barriers will be closed for approximately 10 days starting 10 March; traffic will be directed through the right exit barrier, which will remain fully operational.

Changes for public transport passengers:

• The Terminal 1 public transport exit stop will be temporarily moved under the overpass on Aviatická road from 3 March (approximately 5:30 a.m., i.e., from the start of daily operations). Suburban lines will stop there as usual.
• The Terminal 1 public transport boarding stop will be temporarily out of service from 3 March. Boarding for departures from the airport will be possible at the Terminal 2 stop. Passengers arriving at Terminal 1 will be asked to move to the Terminal 2 public transport stop for departures.
• A replacement boarding stop will be set up for the AE line at the PA Smart parking building from 3 March 2025 (from approximately 5:30 a.m.). The AE exit stop will be under the overpass on Aviatická road, alongside other relocated stops.
• Charter (contractual/irregular) buses and coaches will use Parking B in front of Terminal 2 for the time of the 2nd road closure.

Stage 2 (1 April – 30 April 2025)

Changes for drivers:

• The left entry barrier on the 1st road will remain closed; the right entry barrier will remain fully operational.
• The 2nd road in front of the terminal building will be closed. The work will be organised in a way to ensure the third and fourth pedestrian crossings in the first half of the road remain fully operational.
• The exit part from the 1st road in front of Terminal 1 will be closed. Exit will be possible along the connecting building between terminals, carrying on in front of Terminal 2.
• At the P1 parking area, the right entry barrier will be closed.

Changes for public transport passengers:

• The Terminal 1 public transport exit stop will remain temporarily moved under the overpass on Aviatická road. Suburban lines will stop there as usual.
• The Terminal 1 public transport boarding stop will remain temporarily out of service with boarding for departures from the airport at the Terminal 2 stop. Passengers arriving at Terminal 1 will be asked to move to the Terminal 2 public transport stop for departures.
• A replacement boarding stop will remain set up for the AE line at the PA Smart parking building. The AE exit stop will be under the overpass on Aviatická road, alongside other relocated stops.
• Charter (contractual/irregular) buses and coaches will use Parking B in front of Terminal 2 for the time of the 2nd road closure.

Stage 3 (1 May – 31 May 2025)

Changes for drivers:

• Part of the right lane will be closed prior entering the 1st road, including the right entry barrier.
• The 2nd road in front of the terminal building remains closed. The work will be organised in a way to ensure the first and second pedestrian crossings in the second half of the 2nd road remain fully operational.
• The left exit barrier on the 1st road will be closed; traffic will be directed through the right exit barrier, which will remain fully operational.
• Exiting from the P1 parking area will be limited by the closure of the right exit barrier; the left and middle exit barriers will remain fully operational.

Changes for public transport passengers:

• The Terminal 1 public transport exit stop will remain temporarily moved under the overpass on Aviatická road. Suburban lines will stop there as usual.

• The 2nd road in front of the terminal building remains closed. The work will be organised in a way to ensure the first and second pedestrian crossings in the second half of the 2nd road remain fully operational.
• The left exit barrier on the 1st road in front of Terminal 1 will remain closed; the right exit barrier will remain fully operational.
• Exiting from the P1 parking area will remain limited by the closure of the right exit barrier; the left and middle exit barriers will remain fully operational.

Changes for public transport passengers:
