Verona, a charming Italian city on the banks of the Adige River, is a blend of history, rich culture and romance. It is perhaps most known for its centrepiece – Arena di Verona, a monumental Roman amphitheatre. Today, it is one of the world’s most prestigious opera venues and hosts cultural events such as concerts and festivals. The city’s main square, Piazza delle Erbe, attracts visitors for its traditional market and local historical buildings such as Palazzo Maffei and Fontana di Madonna Verona. Narrow streets and stone bridges across the river wind through the city, creating an atmosphere that captivates tourists at every turn. One of the Ancient Roman bridges over the Adige River is the Ponte Pietra.

Besides architecture, the city boasts romantic tales. Visit the Juliet’s House (Casa di Giulietta) and its famous balcony, which attracts couples from all over the world. In addition to the historical sights, visitors can enjoy Italian cuisine in cosy cafés and restaurants and local wines, enhancing the unique experience of this picturesque town in the heart of northern Italy.
