Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, offers many interesting places. Whether you enjoy history, architecture, culture, or beautiful nature, everyone will find something here. Let yourself be charmed by the Old Town, which is made up of narrow streets with stunning Baroque buildings. The heart of the Old Town is the vast Cathedral Square, dominated by the Roman Catholic Cathedral of St. Stanislaus and St. Vladislaus. Next to the cathedral is the bell tower, from which you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Old Town. You can take in a panoramic view of all of Vilnius from a hill in the city center, where Gediminas' Castle stands. Its most prominent feature is the Gediminas Tower, the symbol of the city. Other landmarks you shouldn’t miss include the Gate of Dawn, the White Bridge, the Hill of Three Crosses, the Lithuanian National Museum, and the University.

While walking around the city, be sure to visit the Užupis district. It is famous for its bohemian atmosphere and also for having declared itself an independent "republic" in 1997, with its own president, flag, currency, and symbol.

After visiting the landmarks, relax in the vast Verkiai Nature Park with its lakes and forests. Specifically, by Lake Balsys, you can have a picnic, swim, or rent a boat.
