If you pick up someone else’s baggage by mistake, you need to go to the complaints counter of the handling company that handled your flight. The counters of all three handling companies can be found in the baggage reclaim area of Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.

If you are planning to travel with an oversize or non-standard piece of baggage, we advise you to discuss the check-in first directly with the airline company (or your tour operator in case of charter flights). The conditions for the transport of such baggage differs according to the airline company.

Check-in procedure for oversize baggage

• If you plan to check in a non-standard piece of baggage, it is advisable to inform the airline company (or tour operator) about this fact as early as when you are booking the flight or purchasing the ticket and to check the check-in requirements in advance.
• When at the Airport, go to the standard check-in desk and inform the check-in staff about the oversize piece of baggage.
• The staff member will check in the baggage, tag the baggage and then either arrange for the passenger to be transferred to the oversized baggage counter or, in some cases, an agent will arrange it.
• Then the handling company personnel will take care of your baggage while you go on to security (Terminal 2) or passport control(Terminal 1). At the arrival airport, you will pick up your baggage at the oversize baggage counter.

Travelling with a pram/pushchair

At the Airport with your own pram/pushchair. If you are travelling with your own pram/pushchair, you can usually use it until you board the plane. It is necessary to hand the pram/pushchair in at the gate and the handling company staff will take care of putting it into the baggage hold or another designated space inside the aeroplane. The particular requirements regarding the transport of prams/pushchairs always depend on the respective airline company and the load of the actual flight. Your pram/pushchair also has to pass security control.

Borrow our /pushchair free of charge

If you do not need your pram/pushchair while you are at the Airport, you can check it in and hand it in at the check-in counters and borrow one of our pushchairs free of charge. You can find them in Terminal 1 behind the passport control zone and in Terminal 2 behind the security control zone or at one of the many points available in the terminals. You can use our pushchair throughout your time at the Airport until you arrive at your gate.
