15. 1. 2025Prague Airport plans to hire approximately 300 new employees as part of this year’s recruitment campaign, which is currently being launched. As part of preparations for the summer season, it is primarily looking for operational staff, but also focusing on specialised positions related to the airport’s development projects. “We are convinced that the key to success is our employees. That is why we have given them the main role in our recruitment campaign. Similar to last year, we are launching it in January with the aim of having sufficiently reinforced personnel capacity for the summer season, which is the most demanding part of the year from an operational point of view. At the same time, we are looking forward to a year in which we expect to reach a record number of handled passengers – over 18 million –, and continue pursuing our development projects. We therefore believe that we will welcome exceptional new colleagues to our ranks who will help us achieve our goals not only over the summer, but also in the long term,” said Pavel Východský, member of the Prague Airport Board of Directors, whose competences include the area of human resources. The first phase of the recruitment campaign presents Prague Airport as a progressive and dynamic environment which will see the construction of a more modern and higher capacity infrastructure in the coming years. The video spot with which Prague Airport is now launching its recruitment campaign features airport employees together with a visualisation of the expected future appearance of the airport, i.e., after 2030.From February, the campaign will be expanded to include another communication phase focusing on specific positions. These are mainly security control workers and other positions in operation. However, the airport is also looking for experts who will participate in the preparation and implementation phases of its development projects. In total, the airport wants to bring in up to 300 new employees. The recruitment campaign will be circulated mainly in the online space, but it will also use radio spots and stickers in public transport. Recruitment days directly at the airport will be held on 7 and 8 March and interested parties will be able to learn more about the individual professions performed at the airport. The airport is also open to applicants who are at the beginning of their professional careers. “For example, last year we worked with twenty schools and had 261 students who completed their vocational training practical part with us. Last year, we reached almost 600 students with presentations which explain the functioning of our company or its subsidiaries,” Martina Klecker Kněžourová, Prague Airport Director of Human Resources Management, explained, adding: “We are not always looking for expertise, but rather personality types – people who are eager to learn and develop further. We can usually teach the person everything else they need to be able to work at the airport. This is not the only reason why we are among the most attractive employers in the Czech Republic for students and graduates in the field.”Czech Airlines Handling, a subsidiary of Prague Airport, will also join the recruitment campaign, seeking to fill the positions of check-in, baggage loading, and aircraft cleaning workers, alongside a Ramp Control supervisor. There are 75 jobs open in total open.Prague Airport employs a total of 2,930 employees in more than 600 different job positions. A total of 545 employees work in the subsidiary of Czech Airlines Handling.
