In 2024, Prague Airport reported EBITDA of CZK 4.3 billion. Compared to the previous year, the overall Prague Airport operating result increased by CZK 1.2 billion. From the point of view of the net economic result, the company recorded a profit of CZK 2.5 billion in 2024.

“We have maintained the positive economic activity trend, which resulted in our company’s return to the profitability recorded before the pandemic. It confirms that we have already replaced the operational outages of Czech Airlines and flights from Russia and Ukraine. Among other things, we are therefore better prepared for the gradual financing of the airport modernisation,” said Jiří POS, Chairman of the Prague Airport Board of Directors, and added: “2024 was operationally demanding, but at the same time very successful. We handled nearly 16.4 million passengers and surpassed the prediction from the beginning of last year.”

In cooperation with carriers, Prague Airport launched 41 new routes last year and facilitated flight frequency increases on 66 routes. As a result, in 2024, aviation business revenues of Prague Airport reached CZK 6.4 billion and an additional three billion crowns were generated by non-aviation business. For example, the company reconstructed 14 restaurants for tenants who are enhancing the customer experience with new concepts which were not yet available at the airport. Prague Airport also introduced new parking services. These include, for example, the Comfort Valet option, which means that passengers hand over their car directly at the airport to a professional driver who ensures its safe parking.

Last year, Prague Airport continued its investment in airport modernisation, which primarily comprised the reconfiguration of selected passenger boarding bridges, the reconstruction of the administrative section within Terminal 1, the project to extend the access road at the crossroads of the Aviatická and K Letišti streets, and the installation of a new parking system in the airport area. Last year, Prague Airport implemented investment projects worth CZK 1.6 billion.

This year should be record-breaking for Prague Airport. It is expected to handle over 18 million passengers.
