4. 9. 2024The airBaltic airline has announced its launch of a direct connection to the capital and largest city in Lithuania, Vilnius. The carrier has scheduled to operate its flights twice a week effective 30 March 2025, using the Airbus A220-300 aircraft. The route will provide another connection to the southernmost Baltic country from Václav Havel Airport Prague.Václav Havel Airport Prague was last connected by direct flights with Vilnius ten years ago. “We are very happy for the further development of airBaltic in Prague, and it is great news that our connection with the Lithuanian capital is being resumed after a long time. Alongside Latvian Riga, this is the second Baltic destination which airBaltic is going to serve from Prague. We expect that almost 15 thousand passengers will use this connection next year,” Jaroslav Filip, Prague Airport Director of Aviation Business, said. The route will be operated seasonally from 3 April to 23 October 2025, with flights offered twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays. The airBaltic airline will use the Airbus A220-300 aircraft with a capacity of 148 seats to service the route.“We are excited to expand airBaltic’s operations in the Czech Republic with this new route to Vilnius.
